A whole-business view. Time allocation describes your hours; it does not attribute profit to each activity.

A full calendar tells you how busy you are.

Your profit and time together can help you decide what deserves a closer look.

What you’ll see

One month. A clearer picture.

01

What the business keeps

Revenue minus operating costs gives your monthly operating profit, before your pay and tax.

02

What your time returns

Divide that profit by all your founder hours, including the work you are not paid for directly.

03

What to investigate next

See your activity split and conditional observations. Add your sustainable hours to compare work with capacity.

Built for your business

Your actual pattern. Your own questions.

Client work, UGC projects, product sales or an offer that sells while you’re offline: record what really happened. Zero active Sales or Delivery hours can be normal for passive sales. There is no universal ideal time split.

This is a monthly business snapshot, not a recommended hourly rate or take-home pay calculation. It can help you question pricing, scope and commitments; it cannot choose those decisions for you.

Before you start

A few useful details.

Do I need perfect time records?

No. Start with reasonable estimates for a representative month and recognise the uncertainty. Count each hour once, under its main purpose. Include unpaid work.

Does it work for UGC creators?

Yes. Include pitching, proposals and negotiation as well as filming, editing, revisions and admin. The whole-business figure does not replace decisions about usage rights, licensing or exclusivity.

Which costs should I include?

Use operating costs for the same month as your revenue. Include direct delivery and other operating costs once. Exclude owner pay, tax and personal expenses. The workbook explains the inputs.

What if I have not made a sale yet?

You can still record costs and founder time. The result describes the current month; it is not a prediction of the business’s potential. Compass is intended for established businesses with customers and revenue.

Will Primavia see my financial information?

No figures are requested by the download form. Your inputs stay in your own Excel file. If you later choose to discuss a snapshot, you decide what to share.
